Katy is a graduate of Trinity College Dublin (Law), New York University(more Law) and Queens University Belfast (Creative Writing). She worked as a lawyer and film producer in New York and London before making the switch to writing full-time. She is a contributing editor and restaurant critic at The Gloss (published with The Irish Times on the first Thursday of each month) and a regular contributor of food features to The Sunday Times. At The Sunday Tribune, Katy was the restaurant critic for three years and wrote a weekly recipe column, ‘Cooking Clever’.
She has also written on food, travel and lifestyle for The Irish Times, The Irish Independent, Image and Image Interiors. Katy works as a copywriter and as a consultant to businesses in the retail, food and hospitality sectors. She is currently editing Trinity Tales: The Eighties for Lilliput Press. Katy lives in Dublin and cooks for her family of six and large gangs of friends and relations on a regular basis.
